This experience will be about getting creative and having your art on a functional item to take with you when you go. I invite you to join me for a creative illustration session where I share a bit about my illustration process and inspirations and then help you to create an illustration of your own. I would recommend that you bring some ideas if you have something in mind for your tote bag and if you are not sure I will have a few ideas ready for you to choose between. I will guide you through the whole process. We will then scan your work into the computer, do any necessary digital work on it, print it out onto transfer paper and heat press the final design onto a tote bag for you to take home. We will spend the first 3 hours illustrating / painting (and also waiting for the paint to dry). After that we will spend the last hour transferring your design onto a tote bag. All are welcome and no experience is needed. Just come willing to experiment and have a great time. Feel free to bring your friends / colleagues too. Your ticket Includes: - Welcome drinks: wine / non-alcoholic drinks and some snacks. - Admission to a 4-hour creative illustration workshop suitable for all levels. - A brief introduction to creative illustration, my processes and inspirations as well as a few exercises to get the creative juices flowing. - Guidance and assistance along the way. - Access to art supplies including: acrylic paints, brushes, watercolour paint, pens, paper and pencils. If you have your own art materials, you are welcome to bring them too if you like. You are also welcome to bring along any digital drawing tools if you have (but it's not necessary for the workshop if you don't have). - Help with scanning, digital retouching, printing and sublimating your artwork. - A white tote bag with your own artwork printed onto it. When considering your illustration I would recommend that you don't fill the whole A4 page to the edges or have any part of the design going off the edge of the page. I would recommend a stand alone illustration surrounded by white space as I think this works well on the white bags.
