Step into a cozy, creative studio in Malling, just south of Aarhus, and discover the colorful world of tufting – the art of transforming yarn into soft, vibrant rugs and wall art. This hands-on creative workshop is designed for everyone, whether you’re a complete beginner or simply love exploring creative crafts. With the friendly guidance of textile artist Julia Holm, you’ll design and tuft your own personal artwork from start to finish. What You’ll Experience - Introduction to tufting: Learn the basics of the technique, how to safely use the tufting gun, and get tips on color choices and materials. - Design your piece: Sketch your design on the canvas and choose from a wide selection of yarn colors to create your own unique expression. - The tufting process: Bring your design to life with the tufting gun – one thread at a time. Julia will be by your side throughout the process to guide and assist you. - Finishing and final touches: Trim, glue, and finish your artwork so it’s ready to take home as a unique rug or beautiful wall decoration. Duration The workshop lasts approximately 3–4 hours, including a short break.
