Hello, I’m Alysha! I’m an Illustrator and Art Teacher based in Copenhagen, with a deep love for storytelling, creative experimentation, and the therapeutic benefits of art. Illustration has always been a haven for me - a calming place where I can go to dream, express my inner world and appreciate the colours and details of my surroundings through quiet observation. Since childhood I’ve been concocting characters & stories, drawing from life and mesmerised by the process of watercolour painting. Since 2019, when I began working as a Freelance Illustrator, I’ve specialised in watercolour and digital illustration for brands and books. In my spare time, I’m forever experimenting in my sketchbooks with different mediums and to this day my to-do lists are covered in doodles. From botanical illustration and sketching en plein air, to meditative watercolours, mixed-media character design, collage and gelli plate printing, I am constantly experimenting and evolving my art practice. I also love that through client work I get the chance to learn about niche topics that I wouldn’t have come across otherwise - e.g, foraging! For years though, despite my obsession with illustration, I felt something was missing. I was craving community and wanted to explore skills beyond solitary work at my desk. In 2024, I led my first illustration workshops and discovered that this missing piece was teaching! It brings me so much joy to share my passion and craft with students and watch as they grow in confidence, discover their unique voice and connect with others through the creative process. Through ArtXP, you are invited to explore the wonderful world of illustration with me - experimenting with different mediums, techniques, and approaches in a welcoming, playful, and judgment-free space. I strongly believe that we all possess creativity inside of us, so no matter your experience level, you are warmly welcome to join this creative journey. I look forward to meeting you!
