Hey, I'm Annija, a creative soul and a passionate artist with a background in architecture and sustainable urban design. I originally come from Latvia but since 2013 have been based in Denmark, currently Jyllinge. I fell in love with creating art at an early age. It didn’t end with my love for poetry, diary entries, and pencil drawing, I continued to explore creative work with my studies in architecture, and since 2018 have been exploring painting. My dearest childhood love story with the sea and the sky have followed me along in my painting growth and the exploration hasn't stopped ever since. It never gets boring and continues to challenge me. My peace and freedom are found in the waves of the ocean, salty breeze, and in the wind in my hair. I find freedom in the vastness of the horizons in the color tones of clouds, in the stunning moments of sunrises, sunsets, dawns, storms, dark nights, and everything else in between. This peace and freedom I always try to bring into my paintings. I capture the moment, so it lasts just a little longer. I am inviting you to experience this sensation of freedom at my Seascape painting experience. My favourite mediums of art include acrylics and mixed media. However, I love to experiment and challenge myself with new things by using other mediums once in a while as well. I have been showcasing my art in a few exhibitions in Copenhagen - and lots of my artworks have found a new home all around Denmark.
