First of all, thank you for your interest in booking this workshop. I am very excited to share my passion of reduction printmaking with you!
During this workshop you will each create your own original prints based on an image you bring from home. I recommend that you either find/take a photo or make a drawing and bring it to the workshop on a piece of paper.
Here's some guidance on what type of image to bring to the workshop:
-Think about how your image can be made with white (the color of the paper) and 2 other colors. Changing your image to gray on your computer might help you with this.
-Choose an image that is very clear and doesn't have too many tiny details. You will make 5 prints of this image.
-The size of the image should be: max. 10x15 cm.
-Print the image on your pc and bring it to the workshop. Select the mirror option in your printer.
-The image should be mirrored as what you carve into the lino block will be mirrored in your print. If you are uncertain about how to print it mirrored, save the image on your phone and we will print it with my printer, on the day.
Please put on clothes that are suitable for working with inks or bring an apron to protect your clothes (the ink we will use is waterbased and easy to remove - so don't worry).
You are welcome to bring lunch for yourself and if you need to buy your lunch, there are 2 supermarkets just 300 meters away.
I look forward to welcoming you!
